Electric dreams or a jolt of reality, the Lightning GT certainly caused a stir at the British International Motor Show. Not least because it looks sensational, rivalling Aston Martin and Jaguar for svelte good looks. It's the Lightning GT's powertrain that's its real stand-out feature, it being electric, with four wheel-mounted motors giving it a claimed 700bhp. What's more, the nano-technology batteries are claimed to be super-fast to recharge, and if you're worried that an electric GT doesn't sound right you can have your drive accompanied by the engine noise of your choice via a sound module. Electric dreams? Perhaps, but sweet ones.
