Owners of French cars in the UK are not a happy bunch it has been revealed by the Which? Car survey. Six out of the ten worst cars, as rated by owners, are from France and the
Peugeot 206 is the worst of the Gallic bunch.
Peugeot 206 owners dismissed the car as having a "poor quality interior" and "clunky gearbox." It wasn't much better for
Peugeot's 307, which is berated for its "poor quality with lots of small faults."
Citroen's Xsara came in for flak with comments such as "recurring problems and the clutch has always been stiff." If Renault thinks it has got away without comment, it'd be wrong as it has three cars in the bottom ten.
The 1997-2003 Scenic is the best of a bad lot for Renault and owners say "the radio only works when the engine is warm." It's bad news for the
2001-2007 Laguna and latest generation
Espace, with the MPV coming in last place overall. The Laguna attracted the damning phrase of an "unreliable bag of spanners", while the Espace was "a total waste of money."
