| Awards | 2009 Car o0f the Year | No less than 38 new cars have made it onto the 2009 list for European Car of the Year. These will be whittled down to just seven potential winners and a final victor will be announced at a celebration in Paris on 17 November.
Every sort of car is included in the list, from the BMW X6 to the Dacia Sandero. The only strict rule is the car must be new and on sale by the time the winner is announced.
There are 59 judges from 23 countries who vote for European Car of the Year, six of them from the UK.
