| Special edition | 2008 Lotus Clark Type 25 Elise SC |
For everyone who buys a Clark Type 25 Elise SC, Lotus will donate money to the Jim Clark Memorial fund, but you'll have to be quick to do your bit for charity as Lotus is only building 25 of these special Elises.
The number 25 is significant for other reasons as Jim Clark won 25 Grand Prixs at the wheel of Lotus F1 cars, as well as many more races in other Lotus cars such as the Lotus Cortina. Clark raced a Lotus 25 to several of his Formula One victories.
Finished in classic Lotus racing colours of British Racing Green with a yellow centre stripe, the Clark Elise also sports alloy wheels painted black and silver. The interior is also inspired by Clark's 1960's F1 cars with black leather seats and a wooden gear knob.
Based on the
most powerful Elise production model, the Clark Type 25 has a supercharged 1.8-litre engine that takes it from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds and on to 148mph.
The Clark Type 25 Elise SC will be launched at The Scottish Classic SpeedFair at Knockhill circuit on Sunday 8 June. The price for the Clark edition is £35,995 and the order book is now open.
