| Sneak preview | New Ferrari GT car |
Ferrari is gradually revealing its new GT sports car on a dedicated website. In the run up to the car's official launch at the
Paris Auto Show in October, visitors to
www.ferrarigtcountdown.com will get see and hear more and more of the car as the proper unveiling arrives.
To begin with, visitors to the website can hear the V8-engined GT starting up, revving through the gears and on a drive past. Listen carefully and you can even hear the tyres howl as the GT is pushed hard around Ferrari's Fiorano test track.
The new front-engined Ferrari is expected to seat four adults and sit above the F430 in the Ferrari line-up. Rumours suggest that it will be called the F149 and undercut the F430, but Ferrari has confirmed that it will be more expensive than its mid-engined sportster.
Ferrari expects the new GT to sell around 4,000 units per year, tripling the Italian firm's current annual production to 6,000 cars. It is expected to go on sale in early 2009 and we hope to show you the first full photographs this week.
