Improving on the
Ferrari 599 GTB is no easy task, but that hasn't stopped German tuner Edo from having a crack. Its plan involves a heavily tuned engine and reduced weight, which is why it feels justified in borrowing Ferrari's own Scuderia moniker.
Revised aerodynamics are introduced with the lightweight carbon fibre body kit that cuts 50kg from the overall weight of a standard 599. More air is also fed to the brakes to keep them cool during hard driving. The 630 is also claimed to have greater down-force for high speed stability, helped by a new undertray and rear diffuser.
Buyers of the Edo 630 Scuderia can leave the engine as standard, with performance that just out does the original Ferrari for top speed. Or, they can go for one of Edo's two engine packages. The first ups power to 641bhp, while the second increases maximum output to a heady 740bhp.
All Edo 630 Scuderias come with 20-inch alloy wheels, firmer, lower suspension and larger brakes than a standard Ferrari 599. As for price, Edo will only discuss costs on an individual basis, but expect a 630 Scuderia to come in at around twice the price of the original 599 GTB.
