Fed up with
motorshows? Then perhaps MPH'03 is just what you've been waiting for. Hosted by the inimitable Jeremy Clarkson, this is the first event of its kind. Described as "motoring theatre" this is a lifestyle show with a difference.
Taking place between 11th and 14th December at Earl's Court, London, you will have the chance to see Clarkson, doing what he does best (talking, of course!) accompanied by Top Gear's Richard Hammond. But this isn't just a static show where the cars are banned from so much as switching on their engines. Oh no! Stunt drivers will be putting the cars through their paces there and then. Among the marques appearing are Lamborghini, Koenigsegg, Bentley, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, BMW, Ferrari and TVR. And you are promised you will see these cars "as you've never seen them before".
When you've had enough of Jeremy you can wander amid displays of the world's supercars, admire design icons, shop for designer brands among the numerous boutiques, and sip champagne or wine in the hip bars and street cafes while listening to live music. Or maybe you'll fancy a film - the MPH Drive-in Movie Theatre will be showing classic motoring action moments from the history of cinema. You can also vote for the greatest advertising campaigns of the last 25 years.
And if you'd like to learn more about how cars are built, a real-life design studio will
give an interactive guide to every stage in the process of conceiving, designing, sculpting, refining and manufacturing a new model. Finally the motoring pavilion will host a vast array of car-related shops.
