Dacia has previewed its electric future with this vehicle, the Spring Electric. Little is known about the Romanian EV's technical make-up as of right now, but with the budget company claiming it will be on sale by 2021, then it's hard not to imagine that it's leveraging the know-how of its parent company Renault and vehicles like the Zoe. What we do know for certain is that it is slated to be available in the first half of next year and it should have an all-electric range in excess of 125 miles, while the Spring Electric only measures 3,730mm long - that's despite it being SUV-esque in stature. Oh, and lavished with lots of matte-effect fluorescent-orange highlights, in case you hadn't noticed, as well as 'double-Y'-shaped rear light signatures that will become a hallmark of all Dacias going forward. And yes, you're probably thinking of Lamborghini's favouring of the Y motif at this point. We know we are. Anyway, we look forward to learning more about the Dacia Spring Electric, as - for now - the company merely says things like its 'all-electric powertrain and battery are adapted for everyday use, [to] meet the practical needs of urban and suburban mobility', and that it will be targeting both private and fleet users with the Spring Electric, with all the benefits of low running costs, ease of driving, silent operation, zero emissions, simple charging and straightforward maintenance.
