Aston Martin has released the name, a single sketch and a few other tantalising details about its next limited-edition sports car. The debutante is to be called the V12 Speedster, and just 88 lucky buyers will take delivery of the open-topped model, created by Aston's bespoke branch, 'Q by Aston Martin'. Unsurprisingly, Aston references the 1959 Le Mans-winning DBR1 in the V12 Speedster's design, though we're expecting a little of the sublime 2013 CC100 Speedster Concept, too. The V12 in question is Aston's twin-turbocharged 5.2-litre unit, tuned to produce 700hp and 700Nm of torque. The usual ZF-made eight-speed auto is bolted to that, sending power to the rear wheels. We estimate that buyers will pay in the region of £800,000 when deliveries start in the first quarter of 2021.
