Two announcements from Lamborghini at the World Finals of Super Trofeo in Jerez, Spain, here. The first is of a hypercar due in for 2020, a teaser image of a vehicle featuring the 6.5-litre atmospheric V12 from an Aventador, only delivering 830hp to the wheels through a six-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox that's a load-bearing part of the car's structure. Its make-up is an aluminium front subframe attached to a carbon-fibre monocoque, and while it won't be ratified for international competitions, it will be a limited-production machine that is track-only. The other is a racing version of the Urus, called the ST-X. It has a lightened frame compared to the road-going version and an evolution of the SUV's 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, as well as a carbon-fibre bonnet, a carbon-fibre rear wing and racing exhausts. The colour scheme of the show car was Verde Mantis green with red highlights and the ST-X's first competitive race should be at the 2020 World Finals of the Super Trofeo in Misano Adriatico.
