What's this then?
This is the new Ford Focus ST, and it's got more power than ever before.
Oh? How much?
A round 280hp to you, squire. Plus 420Nm of torque from a 2.3-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engine that's related to the one found in the Mustang. It uses a twin-scroll turbo with clever anti-lag technology borrowed from the Ford GT supercar as well.
Quick then?
Ford is only saying that it'll do 0-62mph in "less than six seconds" for now. Oh, and there'll be a diesel version too, with a 190hp, 400Nm 2.0-litre EcoBlue engine. And an estate version, if you fancy. All of them should go around corners pretty quickly - there's an electronic differential at the front that parcels out the power to the wheel that can best cope with it, and adaptive suspension.
What about the inside?
You get big Recaro bucket seats and a steering wheel with a dedicated 'Sport' button for the driving modes.
When can I buy one?
It'll be on sale in the summer.
