We drove the Daihatsu Copen a few years ago and loved its cheeky personality and genuinely lively performance, as well as its unique to the class folding hardtop. Admittedly, the purchase price looks a little steep considering the size of the car, despite a very impressive standard specification.

Good news for would-be buyers though; Daihatsu has chopped £2,000 off the price from now until the end of June, bringing the Copen down to £11,495 on-the-road (add £500 for leather).
