What's all this about?
You're looking at a TechArt GrandGT Supreme, the German tuning firm's show stopper for the Geneva Motor Show.
A what-what-what, now?
A TechArt GrandGT Supreme. Also known as a Porsche Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo that's fitted with a wild bodykit, some whopping 22-inch alloys, an interior that almost defies explanation and a serious hike in power and torque.
More power and torque? For a Panamera Turbo?
Indeed so. Getting up to the sort of levels that the Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo attains with the oh-so-useful assistance of hybrid technology, the GrandGT Supreme monsters the 'regular' Turbo's 550hp and 770Nm numbers with data of 640hp and 900Nm. That latter figure, by the way, is even in excess of the 850Nm generated by the Turbo S E-Hybrid, although that car does have 680hp by way of compensation. Nevertheless, the performance of the TechArt variant is S E-Hybrid-rivalling - it'll do 0-62mph in a scorching 3.4 seconds and 0-124mph in just 11.7 seconds. Yikes!
That is seriously quick. So what are the looks all about?
TechArt has always been known for its lurid exterior treatment and bespoke interiors, so the GrandGT Supreme is no exception. On the outside, the bodywork is finished in custom Racing Green and features the full TechArt styling package, plus those absolutely colossal 22-inch Formula IV alloy wheels. There's also a TechArt-developed sport exhaust system with titanium and carbon-fibre tailpipes.
And how about the interior?
The TechArt leather is unique, in that it is vegetable-tanned and therefore devoid of chromium and also solvent-free as well. The leather covers practically all of the cabin, to the extent it's on the door cards, in the footwells (no, really) and on top of the dashboard. It features a tartan-like stitching pattern, that's repeated on the headlining, and the few areas of the cabin that aren't clad in vegetable-treated cow hide instead bear custom-painted trim finishers in the same green hue as the TechArt's exterior. The finishing touch is a TechArt sport steering wheel.
What else will TechArt be showing off?
A full range of its products for the Macan SUV line-up, including a power kit for the Macan Turbo with the Porsche Performance Package, the TechArt GTStreet R Cabriolet that is based upon the 911 Turbo S, and a Carbon Fibre Sport Package for the current 911 GT3.
