What's all this about?
It's the Novitec Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T. Novitec is a big player in the German tuning scene (which contains cool, successful ones like Ruf, among many creators of pure monstrosities), and it specialises in modifying cars that arguably don't need to be modified. This time, it has turned its attention to the 'baby' Ferrari GTC4 Lusso.
Baby? Doesn't it have over 600hp?
Correct, although Novitec has now given it over 700hp (709hp to be precise), as well as a truly astounding 882Nm of torque. The raw figures further outline how tuneable the Prancing Horse's twin-turbo V8 unit is, though the sound still can't match the V12's sonorous note. This version of the GTC4 will leave a standard V12 for dust, however; 0-62mph takes 3.2 seconds, and top speed is 202mph. So much for 'baby'...
It looks...different
As ever, styling is a subjective thing, though sticking bits onto your four-seater, continent-crushing GT is a route that we'd approach with extreme caution. Novitec hasn't done a bad job, with subtle alterations front and rear giving a reduction in front-end lift. The press shots make it look moody and threatening, which is exactly what a 700hp-plus weapon should be like.
Has anything else been changed?
The interior features even more Alcantara and leather, though with Novitec's facility for individual customisation, the possibilities are endless. People who love to disturb their neighbours will be glad to note that there's a new, lighter exhaust, made from Inconel and is 11kg lighter than the standard item. Last up in the Modifier's Guidebook is the fitment of lowering springs that serve the twin purpose of lowering the centre of gravity and improving the car's stance (yo).
