What's all this about?
Eagle has added a new model for customers seeking an exclusive, hand-built, extensively restored Jaguar E-type; the new Eagle Spyder GT joins the Eagle Speedster and Eagle Low Drag GT. The new model is based on the Speedster but with the benefit of a folding roof.
What do you get?
Each Eagle E-type is a bespoke creation that starts with an original Jaguar E-type for restoration. The body is an aluminium monocoque that features deeper sills, a lower floor pan and wider wheel arches to accommodate custom 16-inch wheels and tyres. A taller windscreen and fabric roof provide weather protection.
On the inside there is leather upholstery and a sweeping, curved centre console with hidden handbrake lever.
Is it powerful?
The XK six-cylinder engine is enlarged to 4.7-litres and features a big-valve cylinder head to produce a claimed 330hp and 461Nm. Extensive use of aluminium and magnesium means the Spyder GT weighs 1,029kg. Eagle claims performance figures of 0-60mph in under 5.0 seconds and a top speed of over 170mph.
How much does all this cost?
Eagle quotes a basic price of £695,000 plus local taxes as applicable.
