What's all this about?
Believe it or not, here we are barely mid-way through April and already the fourth major international auto show of the year is upon us. This time, the focus swings to the Far East and the Beijing Auto Show, where Infiniti will whip the covers off this hard-to-see SUV.
Is this one of those legendary teaser releases, then?
Yes. Yes, it is. All we know about this Infiniti at the moment is that it's called the QX Sport Inspiration, it heralds the brand's next-generation, mid-sized premium SUV and it has been designed using the rather grandiose-sounding philosophy of 'Powerful Elegance'. The QX Sport Inspiration builds on the Q60 Concept, adding floating A-pillars and wide wheel arches.
Anything more you can add?
Not really, although the Beijing show opens at the end of this month and runs into May. So allow Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti's executive design director, to wrap things up for now by saying: "The QX Sport Inspiration expresses a power and purpose that is uniquely Infiniti. With a flowing, natural aesthetic, this concept demonstrates how Infiniti can offer something new and exciting with future QX SUV models."
