Thought the original 1.6-litre Series I was the most under-powered Land Rover ever? Think again... Land Rover is marking the end of the Defender by launching, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, this exclusive Bespoke Defender Pedal Car. It looks like a current Defender, and is even painted in the proper Loire Blue plaint finish that you can buy a big Land Rover in. There's an aluminium space frame chassis, aluminium body panels, proper, working suspension and brakes (including a parking brake!), leather seats, a working horn and a leather cover for the luggage area (presumably so you can keep your teddies dry when out on an expedition). The pedals have been designed to make it easy to pedal forwards and backwards (no low-range though, shame) and each hand-made pedal car comes with its own chassis number and a name - 'Huey' - in honour of the original Series I production car and its number plate, HEU 166.

Jaguar Land Rover's Director of Branded and Licensed Goods Lindsay Weaver said: "This is both a wonderful collector's piece and children's toy. It demonstrates our ability to produce goods with world class quality and attention to detail that can emulate our world class Jaguar and Land Rover cars."

The only snag? It costs £10,000. You could buy half a dozen real Defenders for that...
