What's all this about?
Suzuki has done a second pre-Frankfurt Show teaser of its forthcoming Baleno compact hatchback.
Right, so what more do we know?
Very little. Aside from the fact that the car will have the BoosterJet 1.0-litre engine (we already knew this), a 'rigid, lightweight new generation platform' and that it will have a 'host of new technologies', there is little to report here. Oh, hang on - it's a very mild hybrid.
You what?!
Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) sees an integrated starter generator in the Baleno assist the engine where required. This is a little like, for instance, the Mercedes-Benz C 300h, which has a mere 27hp electric motor to try and eke out the 2.1-litre diesel's fuel reserves. Well, we're only guessing, mind...
And the Frankfurt Motor Show is when?
It runs from September 15-27.
