What's all this about?
Skoda has slashed the price of its Rapid Spaceback range in the UK, with some models now nearly two grand cheaper than before.
Ooh, does that mean it's not selling well?
Not sure, although we quite like the Rapid Spaceback - slightly confused proposition though it is, sitting between the Fabia Estate and Octavia.
So what has Skoda done to it?
Er... cut the price. We just told you. Pay attention. Entry level is the S 1.2 TSI 90hp, which is £1,300 cheaper than previously at £13,500. You'll recoup least money over the preceding model if you opt for the S 1.4 TDI 90hp, but even that's still £1,290 less than before. Go for a Spaceback 1.4 TSI 125hp DSG SE Tech and you'll really feel the benefit - to the tune of £1,905, the car now costing just £16,390.
Is this offer only available for a limited time?
Nope, all new orders for 2016MY cars and beyond will be priced this competitively, with no reduction on the standard equipment levels of any of the S, SE Tech and SE Sport variants. Enjoy!
