Number One, prepare for facepalm, warp factor nine... Engage!
What are you talking about?
You know that Jean-Luc Picard facepalm meme? Something tells me Land Rover fans are going to be using it a lot over the next little while.
Ah, you must be talking about the Range Rover Evoque Convertible, which Land Rover has officially confirmed for production on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show. And, in proper Land Rover style, a rather cool gimmick was used to announce the fact - a prototype Evoque Convertible was driven through the half-completed tunnels of London's multi-billion cross-rail project. Not only does that confirm that you really can go off-roading in the centre of London (well, under it anyway), but it's also an echo of the original Evoque launch, when test cars were driven underneath urban Liverpool in a disused Victorian railway tunnel.
Murray Dietsch, Director of Land Rover Programmes said: "The tunnels are still under construction, so we had a unique opportunity to explore the vehicle's all-terrain ability in unchartered territory."
There aren't any specific Evoque Convertible figures being released as yet, but as well as the facelifted Evoque hard-top being exhibited at the Geneva show, there will be new, lower-CO2 'Ingenium' diesel and petrol engines, plus a revised cabin with Land Rover's rather slick new infotainment setup.
Even so... *facepalm*
Highly illogical...
