What's the news?
One of the leading independent Porsche specialists, Oxfordshire-based Autofarm, is under new ownership. Former owner Josh Sadler has passed control of the business to the existing management team of Mikey Wastie and Steve Wood.
Autofarm has been in business servicing, selling, restoring and race preparing Porsches for over 40 years. Sadler will continue with the company as Heritage Director, managing the Sales and Heritage side of the business, bringing an extensive knowledge of Porsche cars to the role. Mikey Wastie has been with Autofarm for over 15 years and will look after the growing Engines, Projects and Restorations division while Steve Wood is in charge of Service and Storage.
Commenting on his new role with Autofarm Josh said: "We have been working on making this a seamless transition for staff and customers for some months and I am delighted Mikey and Steve engender the true passion needed for the Porsche marque and our customers. Stepping away from the day to day running will enable me to focus more on our car sales and Classic and Heritage side. As 911 values have risen, provenance has become increasingly important and investors are seeking perfect, correct specification cars. It's an area where with Autofarm's expertise and history, we can really help customers."
The new owners understand their commitment to the business and its customers. "It is an immense privilege to now own and manage this company," said Mikey Wastie. "Steve and I have been involved with Autofarm for a combined 25 years so we understand and appreciate what we now have! Josh still being part of the business is a huge benefit as we take Autofarm forward."
What's next?
All current staff remain with the company plus two new employees to ensure Autofarm is prepared for the future.
