What's all this about?
The McLaren P1 GTR, a limited edition, track-only version of the company's hybrid hypercar, will get its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Hold on - I thought we saw this thing last year?
We saw a design concept at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California in the second half of 2014, granted, but this is the real deal in Switzerland. It should be a pretty special reveal, given the P1 GTR makes in excess of a mighty 700hp-per-tonne...
Cor, is there anything else you can tell me about it that we don't already know?
Not about the mechanicals, although we can say that testing in Europe and the Middle East has been 'stepped up' during the winter months, while the McLaren P1 GTR Driver Programme will also begin in the coming weeks.
What's that?
The lucky people who have enough money to buy one of these things will be invited to the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking to start a journey that will see them driving their P1 GTRs on some of the world's most iconic racing circuits, the only place the P1 GTR can be used. Yes, don't you just hate them?
