What's all this about?
Suzuki has announced prices and specifications for the new Celerio city car, with the entry level SZ3 costing £7,999 and a SZ4 version costing £8,999. Both models will go on sale from February 2015.
What do you get?
Standard equipment includes alloy wheels, air conditioning, Bluetooth and DAB radio. The SZ4 can be recognised by its polished alloy wheels, chrome front grille, front fog lamps and body-coloured door mirrors.
What's under the bonnet?
When launched, the Celerio will come with a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine, which develops 68hp with economy and emissions figures of 65.7mpg and 99g/km. Next summer Suzuki will offer a new engine featuring 'Dualjet' technology and stop-start to cut CO2 emissions to 84g/km. At the same time, customers will be able to order Auto Gear Shift (AGS), an automated manual transmission, rather than a conventional automatic. AGS has been designed to creep forward at low speed without pressure on the accelerator, just like a torque converter transmission - but without the fuel economy penalty.
