Stuttgart-based Porsche tuner TechArt has now worked its magic on the Porsche 911 Carrera T. TechArt's upgrades (in the form of the TechArt Techtronic Powerkit) have seen power rise from the standard Carrera T's 370hp to 430hp, making it more powerful than Porsche's own Carrera S. Torque is up too from the standard 450Nm to 530Nm. The net result is 0-62mph in four seconds and a top speed of 186mph. All this is achieved by an ECU remap and a valve-controlled racing exhaust that has the additional benefit of providing a lovely sonorous burble (so we're told). This particular performance package is available from a smidge over £7,000. TechArt also offers performance upgrades for the Porsche 911 Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera GTS and all their four-wheel-drive derivatives.
