Having churned out über-hot BMWs such as the 231mph Hurricane M5 RR - holder of the record for fastest saloon car - it would be safe to say that G-Power knows the cars of the Bavarian Motor Works inside out. So it comes as no surprise to hear that the German tuners are currently working on the recently launched F10 variant of the M5.
Thanks to its 4.4-litre bi-turbo V8 that produces 552bhp, the standard M5 would hardly be described as slow but that has not stopped the G-Power engineers fettling with the under-bonnet bits with the aim of releasing even more German horses.
The G-Power M5 (F10) is still in development so no word yet on what work has been carried out but apparently "the first results from the engine department are very promising" and "The goal for the first stage of output enhancement... is expected to set 620hp" which will be nice.
The Hurricane name has not been confirmed but as it is the tag applied to previous hot G-Power M5s it is the one we expect to see once the F10 model hits the road. The new car will have some way to go living up to the Hurricane RR though. Designed to beat the record held by the bi-turbo V12 Brabus Rocket, the RR's 5.0-litre V10 produced 789bhp meaning a 0-62mph time of 4.4 seconds. G-Power may have something up its sleeve though as the target power "is just the beginning..."
