The latest BMW Art Car, by Jeff Koons, was a one-off, but it is now available from BMW dealers; what's more it costs just £140. The only catch is that it is 1/18th the size of a real M3 GT2.
However, the model does feature an opening bonnet and boot. It also carries the distinctive design of the original. Although Koons is used to working in three dimensions - having produced giant 'balloon animals' and flower sculptures - he consulted BMW design head Adrian van Hooydonk on how best to treat the M3 GT2's wings and air inlets.
Along with being sold in BMW dealers the miniature M3 is available from
www.bmw-shop.com. It comes on an acrylic base with a clear top and information booklet.
