The Volkswagen Touareg range has been expanded with the addition of the R-Line grade. Prices start at £44,025, £750 more than the Touareg Altitude but with extra equipment valued at £4,000. In addition, the Volkswagen CC has benefited from a price cut of at least £470 across the range.
R-Line versions of the Touareg come with new bumpers, side skirts and 20-inch alloy wheels. There are also Xenon headlamps while LEDs are used for the daytime running lights and tail lamps. The door sills carry R-Line tread plates and a panoramic glass sunroof allows natural light into the cabin. All Touaregs come with leather upholstery, satellite navigation and dual-zone climate control. Additional equipment on the R-Line includes keyless entry and start plus an electrically powered tailgate.
Customers can choose either a 204- or 245hp 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel, the latter costing an extra £1,620.
The Volkswagen CC range now starts at £24,050 while the best-selling CC 2.0 TDI 140 benefits from a £1,320 price cut. In part the saving comes from making Adaptive Chassis Control an £850 option rather than standard equipment.
Both the Touareg R-Line and Volkswagen CC are available now.
