An updated Mazda6 has been released earlier than originally planned due to strong customer demand. The facelifted 6 now features a range of tweaks including new exterior and interior styling, lower emissions and better fuel economy.
Buyers get the choice of a hatchback or estate as well as three petrol engines and a trio of diesel units. Power ranges from 118- to 178bhp, while fuel economy is up to 6.4 percent better than that of the previous model. Emissions of CO2 have also been cut by up to 6.1 percent.
Mazda has introduced a 2.0-litre Sport variant to cope with what it calls 'latent demand’ from customers who want the top-of-the-range model. There's a choice of four spec levels - S, TS, TS2 and Sport - which start at £16,995 and top out at £23,445.
