MPV specialist, Citroen, has announced a new Picasso model to join its choice of people haulers. The new C3 Picasso sits under the
C4 Picasso and above the Berlingo Multispace, giving Citroen customers more MPV options than any other manufacturer. The smartly penned C3 Picasso has the same style of wrap-around windscreen as its C4 relative, which should flood the interior with light.
Despite taking up little road space the C3 promises to have a spacious and versatile interior. The rear seats slide back and forth, allowing owners to choose between load capacity and legroom for passengers. The C3 should also be useful for those occasions when you'd usually need a van, with the rear and front passenger seats folding to maximise capacity.
The engine line-up consists of Citroen's familiar HDi turbodiesel engines and a pair of new VTi petrol units. Perhaps understandably, Citroen won't be showing the new C3 Picasso at the
British Motor Show later this month, instead choosing to unveil it officially on home soil at the
Paris Motor Show in September.
UK sales of the new Citroen C3 Picasso are due to commence mid 2009.
