Citroen's new small MPV, the C3 Picasso, will go on sale in April. Prices start at £11,495 and used car experts at CAP predict strong residual values for the model.
Based on the C3 hatchback, the five-seat family car offers a versatile interior and styling similar to the larger C4-based Berlingo Multispace. Three trim levels are offered - VT, VTR+ and Exclusive - with a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines.
The range starts with the 1.4-litre VT model, which is powered by a 94bhp engine and costs £11,495 on-the-road. Top of the range is the £15,595 Exclusive 1.6HDi with a 108bhp turbodiesel engine. This unit is only offered on the most expensive C3 Picasso with a 91bhp 1.6-litre HDi motor also available. Customers may also choose a 118bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine in either VTR+ or Exclusive trim.
Used car experts CAP Monitor predict that a mid-range 1.6HDi VTR+ will retain 37.17% of its £13,345 price after three years and 60,000 miles. Equipment levels and full performance figures will be released nearer to the launch date. The first C3 Picassos should arrive with dealers from 9th April.
