Renault has updated its big-selling Kadjar C-segment crossover/SUV for the 2019MY. A new corporate face, worn by its stablemates, gives the updated Kadjar (which has sold more than 450,000 units in its life so far) a distinctly different front end, while at the back most of the bulbs in the taillights and ancillary units are LED. Fresh designs of 17- and 19-inch alloy wheel are available, as are three new colours - Iron Blue, Highland Grey and Oural Green. Inside, the dashboard has been refreshed with a more integrated R-Link 2 seven-inch infotainment screen, while practicality measures include bigger door bins for holding bottles of water, additional USB sockets in the rear, larger cupholders in the centre console and more comfortable front seats. Power comes from turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, with a choice of four outputs: the 1.3-litre petrol option delivers either 140- or 160hp, while the 'Blue dCi' diesel churns out either 115- or 150hp. Manual and EDC automatic gearboxes will be offered, as will the choice of four-wheel drive on selected models.
