What's the news?
Mazda has launched six variants of its vehicles with a 'Sport Venture' moniker. The models receiving the specification are the MX-5, Mazda5 and Mazda2. The Sport Venture brings new alloy wheels, silver door mirrors, two new colours - namely Titanium Flash and Deep Crystal Blue Mica - and a Bluetooth-enabled 6.1-inch navigation system as part of the standard equipment.
Three versions of the MX-5, two 1.8-litre versions and a 2.0-litre model, will be offered as a part of this special edition line-up. Out of the two special colours, Deep Crystal Blue Mica will be available at no extra cost. On the inside the car gets stone leather heated sports seats. Prices start at £18,995.
The Mazda5 will get two special editions, one 115hp petrol and a 150hp diesel. The car gets a new look front grille, heated folding door mirrors and black leather seats with grey stitching. Prices are £20,295 for the petrol variant while the diesel is priced at £21,695. It's the Mazda2 that looks like the biggest winner of the lot, with a total of 13 added features over the regular car. Prices start at £13,395.
Anything else?
The MX-5 completes 25 years of existence this year and there's an all-new car due in 2015.
