What's the news?
In case you've never heard of it, ABT Sportsline is Germany's biggest tuner of Audi and Volkswagen cars. So, when Audi introduced the RS 7 Sportback with 560hp, ABT had different ideas. How's 666hp with 830Nm for starters? That's exactly what we thought, too.
Exterior
Well, don't expect to blend in. ABT takes the already purposeful (and immensely powerful) Audi RS 7 and turns it into a thing of pure menace. You get a huge rear carbon spoiler and there is a choice of 20- or 21-inch wheels - with tyre sizes to go up to an utterly enormous 275/30 R21s at the rear. There are also options for the exhausts like a fully stainless steel system. Obviously, put there to ensure the herculean 666hp is fully audible.
Interior
From what we've see, the ABT RS 7 gets liveried floor mats and cool blue illuminated sills with ABT logos. Buyers can also add carbon fibre look leather inlay sets for more personalisation.
Mechanicals
But the heart of the beast lies in the numbers. The big ones. Within the entry-level ABT RS 7 nestles a 4.0 TFSI twin-turbocharged V8 pumping out 666hp and 830Nm. Need more? No problem. You can also opt for the POWER S version with 700hp and 880Nm. The top speed is up to 200mph. Otherwise it's standard four-wheel drive quattro with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Anything else?
No prices have been released as yet. Rest assured though, this kind of power never comes cheap. So it's best to be prepared to open the wallet just that bit further if you're ordering.
