What's the news?
For those who feel that the TT Black Edition doesn't look sporty enough, check out the picture at the top of the page. There you'll find the TT Black Edition specified with the new Amplified Black package, which adds a mere £700 to the Black Edition's list price.
Exterior
The Amplified Black package can be fitted to both the coupé and convertible models and consists of a black front lip spoiler, black door mirror housings and a fixed TT RS style spoiler round the back. In addition, Audi has fitted black exhaust outlets that sit either side of a rear diffuser insert. 'Rotor' design 19-inch alloy wheels also come as standard. Four colours are available for the model, although black isn't one of them.
Interior
As the standard Black Edition is based on the S-Line trim inside, it's comprehensively equipped. The seats are trimmed in a mix of black leather and Alcantara, you get rear parking sensors and the iPod connectivity is enhanced by a premium Bose sound system. The dashboard features brushed aluminium inserts unless you specify the Samoa Orange paint finish on the outside - in which case the inserts are body coloured.
Mechanicals
The new model comes with either a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine or a 2.0-litre TDI unit. Both engines can be had with the quattro four-wheel drive system; although front drive is available with the petrol unit only. Power output sits at 170hp for the diesel and 210hp for the petrol. This is delivered via either a six-speed manual or a six-speed S-Tronic automatic gearbox.
Anything else?
Prices start at £31,365 for the front-drive coupé and rise to £36,360 for the petrol-powered quattro Roadster with the S-Tronic gearbox. Order books are open now.
