What's the news?
Since the model's introduction in 1998, half a million Audi TTs have been sold. To mark the milestone in its career the TTS Limited Edition is now available. Only 500 Limited Editions will be sold worldwide, with the UK getting 120 of those, priced at £38,860 for the coupé and £43,320 in roadster form.
Exterior
Coupés come in Nimbus grey while the Roadster is finished in Imola yellow. Both come with a fixed rear spoiler like that fitted to the TT RS, and 19-inch, five-spoke 'rotor arm style' alloy wheels. This is in addition to the standard TTS features including a body kit, Xenon headlamps and quad exhaust.
Interior
Grey leather upholstery is standard along with the TT's trademark 'baseball' stitching in grey and yellow; a '1 of 500' plaque on the door inserts confirms the model's limited edition status. Targeted illumination helps show off the interior and is part of the extra equipment, which includes a Bose sound system and rear parking sensors.
Mechanicals
The engine is a 2.0-litre, 272hp unit, which comes with either six-speed manual or six-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission. With the later Audi claims 0-62mph in 5.3 seconds, a top speed limited to 155mph and 36.7mpg with 179g/km CO2 emissions.
Anything else?
Although the TTS Limited Edition costs £2,815 more than the standard TTS Audi claims the price represents a £5,665 saving compared with equipping the standard car to the same level.
