In a list of cars that need a helping hand to fly out of the showrooms the latest Porsche 911 (991) would have to be somewhere near the bottom. In fact, as far as desirability and customer appeal goes the Porsche package is used to the lofty heights of the podium.
But Afzal Kahn has never let reputation or even heritage stand in the way of creating something just a little different - which is why we now have the A. Kahn Design 991. Intended to offer customers a chance to truly customise Porsche's latest, the Kahn 991's principle features are a wide arch kit front and rear and the archetypal A. Kahn Design cross hair exhaust. To fill the newly invigorated arches there's a set of Monza alloy wheels pushed right out to the edges.
The show car features a dark grey paintjob, but Kahn is happy to tailor both the exterior and interior to individual customer's tastes - suggesting you could choose an exterior colour to match your jeans. Not sure a stonewashed denim 991 is really that fly though.
Regardless, the exterior changes ensure it looks distinctive, different and somewhat bespoke and Kahn's proved the market for that level of customisation is alive and well.
