Order books have opened for Ford's new B-Max mini-MPV ahead of September deliveries. Prices for the innovative Fiesta-based car that features the unique Easy Access Door System start at £12,995, rising to £17,595 for range-topping Titanium specification.
Three trim levels - Studio, Zetec and Titanium - will be offered. Entry level models will be equipped with Ford's 90hp, 1.4-litre Duratec petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Standard equipment on Studio cars includes a low tyre pressure Deflation Detection System, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and a full complement of airbags.
Zetec specification adds a choice of one diesel and three petrol engines, including the new 1.0-litre 100hp EcoBoost petrol unit and a new 1.5-litre TDCi diesel. Specification includes 15-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, front fog lights, air conditioning, DAB radio, USB connectivity and Bluetooth.
Range topping Titanium trim offers three petrol engines including a 120hp version of the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol unit and a 95hp TDCi diesel. It gets 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic wipers and headlights, cruise control, heated front seats, climate control and high gloss grille surrounds.
The Ford B-Max is available in a choice of 11 exterior colours and all cars come with body-coloured bumpers, one-hand folding rear seats and remote central locking.
