The Volkswagen Scirocco may not be old enough yet to warrant a mid-life facelift but that does not mean the stylish coupé does not need a refresh to keep it up with the competition. As part of the refresh all Scirocco models are cheaper than before and include touchscreen satellite navigation as standard. A new trim level, R Line, has also been added to the line-up. Positioned above the GT specification the new R Line Scirocco adds a unique body kit with bespoke bumpers and side skirts, 19-inch wheels, Nappa leather, R Line seats and unique wheel and pedal covers.
At the other end of the spectrum the entry-level Scirocco sees a price drop of between £420 and £600 depending on the engine. Seventeen-inch rims are now standard, as too is a multifunction steering wheel, while ACC (Adaptive Chassis Control) is now available from the options list.
Nappa leather interior is now fitted as standard to GT models, as too are heated front seats, ACC, dual-zone climate control, front fog lights and 18-inch wheels. The 265hp range topping Scirocco R also comes equipped with satnav and Nappa leather as standard.
The refreshed Scirocco range is on sale now ranging from £19,650 for the 122hp 1.4-litre TSI model rising to £31,975 for the 2.0-litre TSI Scirocco R with DSG gearbox.
