Ford's Fiesta ECOnetic has been updated to improve its fuel consumption and cut CO2 emissions. Thanks to a list of updates the Fiesta emits just 87g/km (down from 95g/km) and travels up to 85.6 miles on a gallon of diesel.
The 1.6-litre TDCi engine has reduced friction and improved combustion. Stop-start is also fitted along with smart regenerative charging. Power goes through a gearbox with revised ratios.
Ford's promise of sustainability extends beyond the car itself. The Dagenham factory that builds the Duratorq TDCi engines gets all of its electricity from renewable sources.
Prices start at £14,445 with three trim levels offered: Edge, Zetec and Titanium. For businesses the ECOnetic Technology package is also available in the Fiesta Van from £12,215.
