What is it?

Well it kind of does what it says on the tin here - it's a Ford Focus with electric power, rather than a conventional internal combustion engine. It'll do 100 miles between charges - each lasting around three to four hours - and it'll carry five people and their luggage just as before.

Why's it here?

It's Ford's first ever all-electric passenger car, so in the grand scheme of things it's pretty important to the firm. Visitors to the Geneva Motor Show will also have the chance to actually try the car for themselves, showing them just how easily it would slot into their lives.

Show stopper or floor filler?

To be honest, most won't even give the Ford Focus Electric a second glance, not just because of all the other interesting metal on the Ford stand, but because it looks pretty much like any other Focus currently for sale. But for those who have the time, the Focus Electric is worthy of their attention, as it's a glimpse of Ford's future.
