Ahead of its global debut at the
Paris Motor Show, Land Rover has released pictures of the Evoque's interior and a few more details on the car.
It's going to take quite some effort for Posh Spice to mess up the Evoque's cabin, for it's a lovely looking place, featuring loads of neutrally coloured leather bathed in natural light via the panoramic glass roof.
We already know quite a bit about the new baby Range Rover, but Land Rover has confirmed a circa-£30,000 starting price. In front-wheel drive form it will boast sub-130g/km emissions and up to 58mpg combined economy.
Power will come from new petrol and diesel engines with start-stop technology. The 2.2-litre diesel comes in 148- and 187bhp outputs, the former achieving the sub-130g/km figure and the latter around 145g/km. There's a turbocharged 237bhp petrol engine too with direct injection, capable of the 0-62mph sprint in 7.1 seconds.
And because it's still a proper Range Rover, baby or not, it's full of luxury features and technology. Highlights include a 17-speaker high-end stereo, a surround camera system, dual-zone climate control with a timer facility, dual-view touch screen satnav and DVD playback, rear seat entertainment and adaptive headlamps.
Three design themes will be available: Pure, Prestige and Dynamic. The interior you see in the picture is Prestige, which is the luxury package featuring an 'almost entirely leather-wrapped' interior and 19-inch wheels. Dynamic gets 20-inch rims and a sportier body kit, while Pure is effectively the base car.
Deliveries will be from Summer 2011, and there'll be more info during the Paris unveil, we're sure. Until then...
