The Range Rover Evoque was displayed to the public last weekend as part of 'Evoque Live', a contemporary live performance held at Earl's Court, London.
The shows began on Friday (20 May 2011) to provide a platform to display the unique Land Rover, the first Range Rover to be made available as a two-wheel drive-only model. The 25-minute show, limited to an audience of just 150, comprised dancers, models and performance artists, before revealing the Evoque itself.
Afterwards, guests could meet those responsible for the 'baby' Range Rover's design and see the car up close.
The Evoque is a bold move for Land Rover with some commentators wondering whether the two-wheel drive option will alienate existing customers - or open the door to new ones. The Evoque is also available with a choice of manual or automatic gearboxes, petrol or diesel engines and coupé or five-door body styles.
Producer Lee Lapthorne added: "I am proud to be behind such a groundbreaking show. It is a genuine first in terms of vehicle launches and delivers a unique audience experience."
The show moves on to Birmingham on the 27th May and Manchester on the 3rd June 2011.
