The Kia Sportage is set to go on sale on 1 August. Initially, a high-specification 'First Edition' model will be available with other versions arriving in November.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre CRDi turbodiesel unit, which is said to return 47.1mpg on the combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 156g/km. It drives all four wheels through either a manual or automatic gearbox.
Customers can also choose from a range of five colours, including Techno Orange (pictured). Standard equipment for the First Edition includes a full leather interior, dual-zone climate control and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The rest of the Sportage range - including petrol, additional diesel engines and two-wheel drive variants - will go on sale later this year. Pricing for the First Edition will be revealed later in July.
