The Alfa Romeo Giulietta will be priced from £16,995 when it goes on sale in the UK. The hatchback will make its official debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 2nd July and go on sale in the summer.
The range starts with the 120bhp 1.4 TB Turismo model. Even this version comes with Start&Stop, air conditioning and Alfa's D.N.A. sytem. As with the smaller MiTo, Lusso and Veloce grades are also offered although not every variant is available with every power unit.
Five engines are offered, including two diesels with 105- and 170bhp, along with a 170bhp MultiAir petrol unit. The range-topping 235bhp motor is reserved for the £24,495 Giulietta 1750 TBi Cloverleaf. This model comes with dark titanium-finish 18-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers and tinted windows.
Alfa's pricing puts the Giulietta Cloverleaf between the £24,245 Ford Focus ST-3 and the £24,835 VW Golf GTI (in their five-door versions). Further down the range the pricing becomes even more competitive with the 170bhp Lusso JTDM (£21,195) undercutting both the Focus Zetec S 2.0TDCI and Golf GT TDI (£21,695 and £24,185 respectively).
