What is it?
The Audi A1 - nee Metroproject - is finally production ready. It's hardly a feast of aesthetic razzmatazz, but it's tidy, inoffensive and classy. Classic Audi, then.
Why's it here?
Audi fancied itself a proper city car, so this is what we get. It'll start at £13,000 and is a business no-brainer really, regardless how it drives. Power is from 1.4-litre TDI and 1.2-litre petrol engines, the former with sub-100g/km CO2, and it goes on sale in August.
Show stopper or floor filler?
Show stopper, but only because a certain Justin Timberlake drove it on stage for the debut, then emerged to take part in an horrendous interview in which he claimed "I like my new job. It pays very well." Of course it does.
