Renault UK has announced prices for the Laguna Coupé. The new two-door model will arrive in Britain in the New Year and starts at £20,995 for the entry-level model, powered by a 148bhp 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine.
Standard equipment includes an MP3-compatible stereo, 18-inch "Interlagos" alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control and Xenon headlamps. Engines offered in the Coupé include a 202bhp turbocharged petrol unit starting at £22,395 and a 178bhp turbodiesel for £150 more.
More powerful, six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines are offered in the Laguna Coupé GT. The GT suffix denotes the presence of Renault's 4Control, four-wheel steering first seen on the
Laguna GT hatchback and Sport Tourer. Further equipment on the GT includes 18-inch "Celsium" alloy wheels, an automatic parking brake and leather trim. Prices for this model start at £24,345 for either the 2.0 Turbo 205 or 2.0 dCi 180 FAP engines. At launch a 3.5-litre petrol V6 with 237bhp will be offered and later a new 3.0-litre turbodiesel V6 will be added to the range. Automatic transmission is standard on the six-cylinder models, which cost £27,445 and £27,995 for petrol and diesel power respectively.
Renault dealers will officially open the order books for the new Renault Laguna Coupé in mid-November and cars will arrive in showrooms from 2nd January 2009.
