Pictures here to strike fear into the heart of every pet dog; the discrete and awesome BMW M5 Touring. For the first time, BMW is making the car available in the UK.
Packing the same 5-litre, 507bhp V10 as the
M5 saloon, the Touring has more than enough poke to keep your pooch pinned to the rear window deep into three figures with the identical derestricted top speed of 200+ mph and a 0-60mph time of 4.8 seconds, a single tenth down on the four-door derivative.
The M5 Touring enjoys all the dynamic attributes of the saloon we raved about at launch, complete with DSC+ and an M-diff for perfect poise and handling, but combines them with the added practical benefits of an estate with 1650-litres of load space. The interior is much the same specification as the saloon, but there is now an optional 16-speaker 825W stereo to enjoy as well. The price is £67k and the car goes into production in March.
BMW has yet to confirm the availability of a bubble wrap waistcoat and Velcro booties for dogs...
