What's all this about?
Ford has announced prices for its 'Max' range of people carriers with the new-look C-Max and S-Max joining the B-Max in showrooms this summer. Prices start at £13,095 for the B-Max, £18,195 for the C-Max and £24,545 for the S-Max.
What do you get?
The C-Max comes with Ford's new corporate front end; it is also available with Perpendicular Parking, improved Active City Stop and Hands-Free tailgate. All the updates also apply to the seven-seat Grand C-Max, which starts at £20,295. Both versions are available in three trim levels: Zetec, Titanium and Titanium X.
For the S-Maxm trim levels are Zetec, Titanium and Titanium Sport with an 'X Pack' option for both Titanium versions. Ford's SYNC2 connectivity with voice control (also available on the C-Max) is standard across the range; it can operate the climate control, navigation and in-car entertainment. Other standard features include keyless start, parking sensors and DAB radio. Titanium models start at £26,245 and get Traffic Sign Recognition, lane keeping aid and LED daytime running lights. At the top of the range the Titanium Sport (from £31,300) gets a body kit, rear spoiler and sports suspension.
Anything else?
Ford hasn't forgotten the B-Max, which has been updated with a range of Euro6 engines including the 1.5-litre TDCi diesel unit.
