The latest Corvette - America's most famous sports car Yes, I know that the Corvette was replaced last year, but the shape harks all the way back to the sensational Sting-Ray so why not show you a picture of it anyway! The car's following in the States has definitely gone beyond cult status, if not on these shores. The only reason for this, I suspect is that GM do not exactly make buying one easy. If you do want one (I know I do) contact your local Vauxhall dealer and they will be able to direct you to one of the 10 dealers that can actually take orders. The suspension may be softer than a Porsche, but the 5.7-litre V8 costs more than 20,000 less than the cheapest 911......
Like several other manufacturers, Chevrolet explored the niche-utility vehicle sector. It's concept offering also adheres to the retro feeling of the show. The Nomad is an estate....no erm coupe... em... Let's call it a family car with more than a little sporting pretension. The inspiration comes from - strangely enough - the Nomad - a 1950s family "station wagon". However, very few of the original model ever looked this good! The lines were penned by Jeff Gale and then mounted on the Camaro platform. To top off the fun-for-all-the-family feeling, somebody installed a 300bhp V8 engine..... A radical reinterpretation of the 1950s Nomad
