Subaru has announced a limited edition version of the Justy aimed at 'the young and young at heart'. Based on the 1.0R, the 1.0 Twin Cam Special Edition comes with special paint and extra equipment. Only 100 examples will be built.

Those 100 cars will be offered in two colours - Black Mica or Shining Red - with fifty examples in each colour. The Twin Cam will be difficult to miss with its 'viper stripes' and side decals. Other extras include a roof spoiler, twin exhausts, rear privacy glass and a leather and alloy gear knob inside.

Power comes from the same 1.0-litre engine fitted to the 1.0R, which means 56.5mpg on the combined cycle and 118g/km of CO2 - qualifying for VED of £35/year. Top speed is a claimed 99mph and 0-60mph should take 13.5 seconds.

The Twin Cam Special Edition is available now for £9,995, which is £690 more than the 1.0R. Both the standard car and the Special Edition can be enhanced with a set of 15-inch Monza R alloy wheels with Toyo 185/55R15 tyres for an additional £600.
